The United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit became the first federal appellate court to rule that Title IX gives transgender students the right to use bathrooms corresponding to their gender identity (Rewire, Constitutional Law Prof BlogHuman Rights Campaign Blog).

A federal district court ruled that transgender rights are protected under the Americans With Disabilities Act (Rewire).

As President Trump fails to condemn violence against gay and bisexual men in Chechnya, newly elected French President Emmanuel Macron raised the issue in his first meeting with President Putin (Human Rights Campaign).
