The Fifth Circuit has allowed Texas to enforce parts of a state law seeking to punish sanctuary cities while the suit challenging it is pending (WSJ).

California lawmakers passed a “sanctuary state” bill, which may have significant ramifications for the state should the Governor Brown sign it (LA Times).

Motel-6 introduced a policy forbidding employees from sharing guest lists with law enforcement unless they are compelled to do so (NYT).
