Hilary Robin Rosenthal

Hilary is a third-year law student at Columbia Law School where she is the Executive Articles Editor for the Columbia Human Rights Law Review. While at Columbia, Hilary has done legal reporting for MSNBC, assisted asylum-seekers in immigration court, served as a Teaching Assistant to Professor Philip Bobbitt, and is a student in the Mediation Clinic. Prior to law school, Hilary served in the United States Peace Corps in Paraguay, worked as a photojournalist, and was a DJ. She received her Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from Brown University in 2012.

Now that the Trump administration has identified an additional 1700 children separated from their families, it’s time to revisit the administration’s legal arguments for why it was not actually separating families; with new, questionably legal actions that arise practically every day, we cannot let the way the administration has handled the fallout of its immigration policies slip by the wayside.
