Matt is a 2019 J.D. Candidate and Public Interest Fellow at Columbia Law School. During his time at Columbia, Matt has focused on issues of local governance, voting rights, and democracy: He spent his most recent summer as a Legal Intern with the Brennan Center in their Democracy Program where he worked on the Redistricting and Fair Courts teams. Prior to that Matt completed an Externship with the Center For Popular Democracy where he helped to draft model legislation to further voting rights at the local and state level. His 1L summer he worked as a judicial intern for Justice Albin on the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Before law school, Matt was Senior Consultant with FSG, a mission-driven consulting firm, where he helped the leaders of foundations, businesses, nonprofits, and governments achieve large-scale, lasting social change. He graduated cum laude from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in 2010.
